Clement Salvadori

Clement Salvadori (1940-2026) started writing for Rider in the 1980s. For many years he wrote two popular columns, On Touring (which later became Road Tales) and Retrospective. He also wrote features, travel stories, motorcycle tests, and product reviews. He rode more than one million miles on motorcycles and rode on every continent except Antarctica. Rarely seen without his trademark beret, Clem (as he was known) was a reader favorite.
