American Honda has announced that the CB650F will be available in the U.S. as a 2018 model, and is projected to be in dealerships this August. The CB650F is the naked, sport standard version of the CBR650F, and sports a 649cc DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine, Showa Dual Bending Valve fork, preload-adjustable rear shock, LED headlight and taillight, low-slung muffler and wave-style brake rotors. ABS will be available as an option.
The retail price is yet to be announced, but if it’s anywhere near its competition (the Suzuki SV650, Yamaha FZ-07 and Kawasaki Z650), we could have a fun comparison on our hands. Fans of smaller, simple, fun bikes rejoice!
Honda has also confirmed that the popular Grom and the CBR650F will be returning for 2018 as well.
