Ride For The Children Charity Event Rescheduled

The 3rd Annual Ride For The Children charity event is rescheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2021. Organizers postponed the event due to safety and logistics concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, Grand Marshals Lorenzo Lamas, Perry King, AMA Hall of Famer Dave Ekins, actor and musician Sean McNabb and Rider alumna Jaime Elvidge, and a host of celebrities will lead the event.

Festivities start at Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, 4141 Lincoln Blvd., Marina Del Rey, California, where participants will take part in an escorted ride down scenic Pacific Coast Highway to Sycamore Cove State Beach, 9000 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, California.

Once at Sycamore Cove, riders, friends, and family will enjoy a BBQ lunch by J Wolf Catering, as well as live music by the band Aces & Eights. Those not taking part in the ride are welcome to arrive at Sycamore Cove as early as 11 a.m.

Ride For The Children benefits Olive Crest, a Southern California-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to “preventing child abuse, treating and educating at-risk children, and preserving the family.” Founded in 1973, Olive Crest has endeavored to prevent and treat victims of child abuse, neglect, and homelessness, assisting over 4,000 children and families throughout Los Angeles County. Donations from the 3rd Annual Ride For The Children will contribute to those worthwhile efforts.

On-site registration opens at 8:00 p.m., and the ride starts at 10:00 AM, leaving from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson. The event concludes at 3:00 p.m. at Sycamore Cove State Beach. The cost per participant is $35, whether you attend the ride or beach party. Those that want to register early can use this link.
