American Honda has announced the release of two scooters for the 2011 model year: the new Honda PCX and the popular Honda Ruckus.
“We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with our line of scooters,” said Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino, “and now along with the 2011 Ruckus we’re introducing the brand-new PCX, a very stylish 125cc scooter that adds even more depth to Honda’s scooter line.”
Honda PCX
The 2011 PCX is a stylish and sporty new mid-sized scooter that is ideal for routine errands, short commutes and enjoyable little getaways. Powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine in a capable chassis, the PCX is a fun, fuel-efficient, well-mannered way to get around. An electric starter and Honda’s user-friendly V-Matic automatic transmission make this new scooter easy to operate: push a button, twist the throttle and go. There is plenty of room on the wide, plush seat for a rider and passenger, plus there is a large under-seat storage compartment that is big enough to swallow a full-face helmet and more. Available in Pearl White and Candy Red. Price not yet available.
Honda Ruckus
A scrappy veteran in Honda’s scooter lineup, the Ruckus is a bare-bones example of two-wheeled transportation that’s way too cool to call itself a scooter. Fully equipped to battle urban traffic with a fuel-sipping liquid-cooled 49cc engine, an electric starter and Honda’s easy-to-use V-Matic automatic transmission, this welterweight is aptly named for a handy and tough in-town runabout with attitude. Available in Orange/Black and Black. Price not yet available.
