The 2016 Michigan Ride for Kids celebrated its 25th year by raising $27,547 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on July 31.

More than 150 people joined the event at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor. They rode to show their support for Ride for Kids Stars Andrea, Andrew, Jon, Ryan Samantha, Stacy and Zach. Ride for Kids funds medical research and family support programs to help childhood brain tumor survivors like these.

“Funding allows young researchers to take their new ideas and run with them,” said Dr. Patricia Robertson, a neuro-oncologist from the University of Michigan Hospital. “Many of my patients have benefited from the new research, but there is more to do.”
