Following up on the addition of the new 450NK naked sportbike to the 2024 lineup, CFMOTO has announced two other new bikes based on the same platform: the 2025 CFMOTO 450CL-C cruiser and the Ibex 450 adventure bike.
Although the CFMOTO website says that the 700CL-X has elements of a cruiser, when we tested it in 2022, we felt it was more naked sportbike with scrambler styling. However, the new 450CL-C firmly plants its flag in cruiser territory.

The 450CL-C features a liquid-cooled 449cc parallel-Twin with DOHC, a 270-degree crank, and dual counterbalancers all working together for a claimed 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and 30 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission, a slip/assist clutch, a Gates belt final drive, and a dual-chamber exhaust coated in a matte ceramic finish.
Braking is provided by J.Juan components, with a 4-piston caliper and single 320mm front disc and a single-piston caliper and 240mm disc in the rear. For suspension, the 450CL-C has a 37mm inverted fork and central monoshock. ABS and traction control are standard.
The 450CL-C rides on a 58.5-inch wheelbase and has a 28-degree rake and 4.25 inches of trail. The curb weight is listed at 399 lb with its 3.2-gallon fuel tank full. The bike rolls on 16-inch rims wrapped in chunky tires (130/90-R16 front, 150/80-R16 rear) and has a 27-inch seat height.
It has full LED lighting and a 3.6-inch round TFT display with Bluetooth and CFMOTO Ride app connectivity.
The 2025 CFMOTO 450CL-C will come in Bordeaux Red and Nebula Black and start at $5,699.

Really like this ! Wish there was a dealer close. Looks FUN).
This CFMOTO looks solid and well optioned for a starters bike. Is there public record for longevity and maintenance ease?
Would appreciate feedback.
Thanks
Made in China — no thanks!
I hate to break it to you, but most motorcycles of almost all brands source parts from China.
I understand a lot of parts are made in China doesn’t make it right we should not be doing business with China.
Question: Did you type that reply on an iphone? Because I hate to break it to you…
Thumbs up Tara
Why?
Sweet Bike and priced right! Let’s stop with the, “Oh, it’s from (Insert Region Here)”. stuff. It’s not constructive. CFMoto has been on a roll for years and has been building some amazing stuff. I say we encourage it.
Even Harley Davidson sources many parts from Asian suppliers.
For beginners and people like me who are unable to properly maintain chain drives any longer . I wish they would do a complete review on this bike. With the Gates belt drive it makes it very easy to maintain and the low seat height is great. After having been ran over in traffic on my SV 650 they had to rebuild my left ankle and I can no longer twist and turn on it to mount. I also had a Sportster but the rebuild changed my left foot so that it would no longer work on the shifter. I don’t know why the bike has 10 hp less than other 450’s from CFN. As to the fights over country of origin I say wait until Trump does his tariffs. If after they are applied bikes from Asia are no longer bargains. It’s hilarious that Harley has shifted all it’s Nightster and 1250 production there. What other bikes are made in the U.S. now?
We hope to get a test bike in early 2025 and will give it a thorough evaluation.
Very nice-looking bike, so much better in appeal than the Honda Rebel 500. I’ve heard that the Chinese copy bikes, or clone others, whatever you want to call it, but nothing wrong with outdoing the competitors by improving looks. CFMOTO is making great progress!
From Brisbane, Australia here. I’ve been using a CFMoto 450 CL-C as a regular commuter to work since purchase in early September 2024. Usual suburban stuff and done a little over 8,000 km without any issues. Yeah, its Chinese, but build quality is good, has a belt drive, good tech, 3 Year warranty and the 270-degree crank of its parallel twin sounds nice. Also, it came in at about $2,000 AUD cheaper than the equivalent Japanese bikes. The Royal Enfield 350’s, made in India, were about the same price, but not as good. Not sure what’s going on over the USA with tariffs but figured that some Chinese manufacturers have mastered “economies of scale” for now. Hence the lower price. CFMoto is probably one of the best builders right now, been around for about 35 years and been building stuff for KTM, Yanaha and Kawasaki. Time will tell, as manufacturers tend to get complacent, with greed, hubris and ignorance eventually setting in. As for parts and serving, there’s enough CFMoto ATV equipment and motorcycle dealers out here to cover this issue. I guess my only issue is if CFMoto has plans for a larger cruiser or do I go with a Triumph Speedmaster or Indian Scout if I want a larger bike. At any rate, the 450 CL-C suits a “short – arse” like me, just fine for now. Anyway, hope this helps and doesn’t add to the confusion. Regards and good luck.
