Texas & Tennessee Ride For Kids Events Raise $100k

Ride for Kids events in Texas and Tennessee raised $100,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on October 9.

More than 375 people joined the event at Texas Motor Speedway to show their support for Ride for Kids Stars Benjamin, Cassie, John, Kieleigh, Liam, Nora, Summer, Travis and Valerie, along with eternal Stars Morgan and Caden.

After completing a countryside route north of Fort Worth and a lap on the track on the speedway, riders learned they had raised $73,500 for the PBTF.

The East Tennessee Ride for Kids met at a new location this year, Honda Yamaha Suzuki of Knoxville. More than 130 people joined the annual fundraiser to honor local brain tumor survivors A.J., Dawn, Dotty, Jessica, Kathleen, Steven and Wyatt.

After the ride, participants heard from Dr. Susan Spiller, a pediatric oncologist at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

“Thank you for doing what you do so I can treat these young people,” Dr. Spiller said.
