Yamaha has released a teaser video for a yet-to-be-announced new model. The 30-second video is titled “R World,” and seems to be alluding to a new 2017 YZF-R6.
The R6 received a few upgrades in 2010, but hasn’t had a thorough redesign since 2008, so the time is right for an updated model, potentially with a Crossplane crank engine and a full suite of modern electronics (similar to the new R1).
Yamaha has promised another “R World” video release in early October. Until then, watch, listen and speculate.
