Hundreds of trikers and bikers rode to Troup, Texas, headquarters of Motor Trike, Inc., to celebrate 20 years in business on October 25, 2014. Almost 700 people traveled from all over the country and abroad to show off their Motor Trikes and tour the manufacturing facility. Guests came from as far away as Australia to participate in the event.
The event included facility tours, demo rides, live music, lunch and the chance to meet other Motor Trike owners. Linette Douvio won a $500 cash prize for the best looking Motor Trike and Mertline Thibodeaux was awarded a $500 cash prize for the best looking Stallion. Both are from Duson, Louisiana.
The grand prize drawing for a free trike kit went to Gerald Malik from Karnes City, Texas. Malik already has a new Motor Trike Razor kit on his GL-1800, so he told a close family friend, Edwin Skloss before the rally that if he won he would give the kit to Edwin. The two have been friends for many years and used to be old riding buddies. Over time, Edwin has become disabled and has not been able to ride. This new trike kit will give him the ability to ride again and is scheduled to be installed at Motor Trike in December.
“It was a wonderful event and everyone had a great time,” said Jeff Vey, Motor Trike President. “We will have to do it again in five years for our 25th Anniversary!”
