The Street Bob is the least expensive of Harley’s big twins at $12,999, but it and the Sportster 1200 Custom can be ordered with enough options using the HD-1 program to take them in many directions, be it even more custom cruiser, cruiser tourer or something in between. You choose from the factory and dealer options when you “build” the bike on Harley’s website (H-D1 also allows you to see other models with many dealer options). The stock FXDB comes with a 96ci engine, but ours was upped to 103ci and the engine was blacked out: $350. The Two-Up seat was $250, the Drag Bar, $180, and the black five-spoke wheels, $460. ABS, which comes combined with Harley’s security system, was $1,195. Of course it needed a flash paint job, so Bob has the new Hard Candy Big Red Flake: $730. The dealer added Distressed Leather Saddlebags, which meant moving the license plate from the left side to under the bobbed fender, and relocating the turn signals a little further back; all that cost $830.
