Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., today introduced the 2016 FZ-07 and FZ-09, the first two models in its 2016 line-up of sportbikes, and Star Motorcycles debuted the 2016 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec, its first two 2016 cruisers.
The FZ-07 features a 689cc, crossplane-concept, liquid-cooled, inline, twin-cylinder, DOHC, 8-valve engine with fuel injection, which provides outstanding low- to mid-range torque with very linear throttle response. The motorcycle’s wheelbase, seat height, fuel tank width, rake, and other dimensions all work with the qualities of the compact twin-cylinder engine to achieve a sporty, light, and neutral handling character.
The FZ-09’s 847cc, crossplane-concept, liquid-cooled, inline, three-cylinder, fuel-injected engine combines advanced, high-tech components, including YCC-T and Yamaha D-Mode, to deliver an exciting quick-revving engine character. The motorcycle’s wheelbase, seat height, fuel tank width, rake and other dimensions provide an upright riding position and a narrow-feeling chassis at the seat/tank junction.
Yamaha offers a complete range of add-ons and accessories for the FZ-07 and FZ-09, including grips, saddlebags and mounts, cowlings, comfort seats, engine guards, seat cowls and much more.
The 2016 FZ-07 will be available at dealerships beginning in August in two color options–Raven and Matte Silver–and will retail for $6,990.
The 2016 FZ-09 will also be available in Raven, as well as Impact Blue, and will retail for $8,190. Both color options will be available in dealerships beginning in September.

Epitomizing the “Urban Performance Bobber”, the compact chassis on the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec proudly showcases the 58-cubic-inch (942cc), air-cooled, 60° V-twin engine at the heart of each bike. Both the Bolt and the Bolt R-Spec have been highly popular models, attracting a broad range of cruiser buyers.
The 2016 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec use modern technology to create a riding experience superior to other similarly sized machines. Class-leading engine performance with strong low- and mid-range torque rewards riders with every twist of the throttle.
The 2016 Bolt R-Spec adds a racier attitude to the standard Bolt, with the addition of external-reservoir rear shocks, unique graphics and a suede-type seat with contrasting stitching.
For riders who value personalization, Star Motorcycles offers a wide range of options and accessories for the 2016 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec that hold true to the company’s philosophy, “We build it. You make it your own.” The Bolt and Bolt R-Spec are the ultimate examples of that philosophy, and they provide customers with the perfect canvas for customization.
The 2016 Bolt will retail for $7,990, and will be available in two color options—Raven and Deep Blue.
The 2016 Bolt R-Spec will retail for $8,390 and will be available in two color options–Rapid Red and Stone Grey. Both motorcycles will be available in dealerships beginning in August. The 2016 Bolt C-Spec will be introduced in the Fall.
