5th Annual Yamaha and STAR Feed the Children Food Drop

Yamaha Motor Corporation has announced its 5th annual Feed The Children food drop supported by its Star Touring and Riding Association (STAR) this Friday November 18th, at its corporate headquarters in Cypress, California.

Each year, Yamaha’s employees donate money on a monthly basis for “Feed The Children blue jean Friday,” which raises enough funds each year to support a tractor-trailer loaded with food and hygiene products for local Orange County residents in need. This year Yamaha will also present Feed The Children with an additional check in the amount of $21,000 as raised by its Customer Satisfaction Group. A donation was made for every customer satisfaction survey returned by retail customers rating their satisfaction with the sales and service experience at their local Yamaha dealership.

“This annual event is just fantastic for our employees, local members of Star Touring and Riding, and of course the local Orange County residents so in need during the holiday season,” said Bob Starr, General Manager for Yamaha’s Motorsports Communications Group. “And by inviting our race champions to take part and feed the group breakfast just makes the whole event even more of a family affair!”

“We are extremely grateful to the employees of Yamaha for their dedication to helping families in need,” said Feed The Children spokesperson Tony Sellars. “Feed The Children is proud of our longstanding relationship with Yamaha and STAR Touring. Their efforts are bringing relief to the community at a very critical time.”
