That hitch chock is interesting, but that price would cover more than a few trailer rentals.
A small trailer would be preferable over wearing out the rear tire on the bike without enjoying the ride.
Could never understand why anyone would tow a car or bike wearing out and putting miles/kilometers on a vehicle that is accumulating the same wear and tear as the tow vehicle. It makes absolutely zero sense. Better off to rent a bike when you arrive at your destination or leave it at home.
To me, the hitch chock is a bad idea, well executed.
I’d never use this on a long trip, because as someone above said, it makes no sense to put wear and tear on my bike and not ride it. For me, this would be great for taking the bike to get worked on and you have no drop-off or pick-up ride. No need to pull out the trailer, hitch it up, get the bike onboard and strap it down. But the price is way too high for that convenience.
