The 2024 Honda CB650R naked and CBR650R full-faired sportbike receive upgrades, most significantly the introduction of Honda’s new and innovative E-Clutch system.
From the same company that introduced the Dual-Clutch Transmission in 2010, the E-Clutch removes the need for the rider to use the clutch at all, requiring only shifting up or down with the foot shifter. The clutch remains operational for riders who choose to use it, and the E-Clutch system can be set to three different operational feel settings.
To experience this new clutch system and other upgrades in action, we travel to Dahlonega, Georgia, where we put the bikes through their paces at Atlanta Motorsports Park and on curvy roads in northern Georgia. For seasoned riders, getting accustomed to a new clutch system can take time, but once we had a few miles with it, the real fun began.
