Yamaha says its new 2015 TMAX scooter offers more road-going performance than ever in a scooter that handles like a sportbike.
The TMAX features a new-for-2015, 530cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, twin-cylinder engine that is also fuel-injected and designed specifically to deliver maximum fuel efficiency combined with excellent acceleration and power for effortless commuting and highway riding.
The newly designed LED headlights, front cowl, front fender, mirrors and instrument panel were derived from a sportbike influence, which gives the 2015 TMAX a stylish and ultra-modern appearance.
The TMAX also features a diecast aluminum frame, a new upside-down 41mm front fork, and new radial-mount front brake calipers for sportbike-like handling and stopping ability. A durable and reliable Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) makes the TMAX easy to operate, as no manual shifting is required.
An innovative new Smartkey system makes switching the TMAX on and off as easy as pushing a button. In addition, the Smartkey also operates the handlebar lock mechanism with the push of a button.
The 2015 TMAX is available in Sonic Gray and retails for $10,490. This new scooter will be available at your local Yamaha dealership beginning this month.

What currency are you quoting for bike prices pleas
All prices listed in our articles are in U.S. Dollars.
I see a bunch of these in Italy. They look great and seriously haul a**. Just a personal opinion, but to me when a scooter gets this big and bulky, you give up most of the conveniences of a scooter. I think my 250 is a perfect size for Europe. Maybe a 350 for the US.
What conveniences are you giving up?
Low fuel consumption? The bigger the engine the lower the MPG.
Ease of picking up if you happen to drop the scooter.
What else?
I believe this scooter is chain drive, that’s wild!
I’ll not buy any bike/scooter with ABS. Sad, the U.S. Doesn’t get the model without ABS brakes!
