  1. One can be forgiven for thinking that this particular “new model” is the upgraded (new electronic built in goodies, inc. gps, stereo, etc.) FJR1300 we were expecting after the initial teaser…..or a touring version of the V-Max?

  2. Still waiting for an FJ-7. NOW THAT WOULD BE EXCITING & WELL RECEIVED, UNLIKE WHAT THERE PROBABLY GOING TO SPRING ON US. ANOTHER BLOODY BAGGER.

  3. Why do manufacturers think that the only way that people want to tour is with a gigantic, mega-equipped, very expensive touring bike?

I’ll tell you what I wish Yamaha would make – a Versys 650LT competitor with shaft drive, hydraulically adjusted valves, and styling that didn’t come from an origami catalog. Price it under $10K and I’ll buy it.

    • YES!! YES!! (only problem is Honda tried it couple of times in the past & couldn’t sell them).😕 I STILL WANT ONE THOUGH. A 750 or 800 wouldn’t hurt to carry the shaft.

    • Absolutely! Bring back something like the Hondamatic, but with an engine that doesn’t spit oil out the head gasket. I loved everything else about that bike. It would need built in bags and trunk and a 750-800 cc engine,.

  4. Hate to say, but they interviewed their v twin cruiser riders. …hint hint! Not the sport touring riders on FJRs or Fzs etc. I was really hoping for something NEW! BUT will probably get a heavy v-twin cruiser with saddle bags and a windshield! ! Look folks a NEW TOURING BIKE! ! LOL

  5. If the teaser video of little to no lean angle in the corners are any hint of things to come, I’m very much not interested in the slightest.. I’m guessing that is yet another bagger/cruiser or some other overweight lump on 2 wheels that’s so low to the ground as to drag hard parts FAR before the ride can become even mildly interesting.

    • Yes, the Star Venture was announced back in early June. Tomorrow (September 6), Yamaha will be announcing a DIFFERENT touring model in addition to the Venture.
