Without the weight of a passenger, a sidecar can be dangerously unstable, so I volunteered for Sherpa duty and carried all the tools, extra water, extra fuel and gear for our three-person riding group.
With 2WD engaged, balance is eliminated from the equation and all you have to focus on is “go!”
The number sticker on the front of my sidecar (and a matching wristband I was wearing) let the District 37 crews at each checkpoint know I arrived safely.
