Without the weight of a passenger, a sidecar can be dangerously unstable, so I volunteered for Sherpa duty and carried all the tools, extra water, extra fuel and gear for our three-person riding group.
At times it felt like I was riding through a cloud—of dust! The Ural simply isn’t capable of the speeds that regular motorcycles can maintain, so I spent a lot of time being passed by other riders.
