Motorcycling in southern Louisiana means never being far from water. You're either riding next to bayous, lakes or rivers, or going over them on bridges or ferries, like this one over the mighty Mississippi.
During my post-Katrina ride through St. Bernard and Plaquemines parishes, I came upon some unusual sights, like boats high-and-dry atop the levee.
