Emulsifying cleaners like S100 are easy to use and can reach into tight spots to loosen and remove grease and dirt. Simply spray on, wait a few minutes and hose off. Above right: The best way to keep spokes and other metals looking new is with a regular application of corrosion protectant, especially if the bike lives in areas of high humidity or near the ocean.
Follow up emulsifying cleaners with a sharp spray of water. Avoid spraying brake calipers, master cylinder reservoirs and exposed power leads.
