A Helping Hand for Gold Wing Owners

The Helping Hand gives you extra leverage for lifting your bike onto its center stand.
The Helping Hand gives you extra leverage for lifting your bike onto its center stand.

The Helping-Hand helps riders of the Honda GL1800 Gold Wing get their machine onto its centerstand with ease by more than doubling the mechanical advantage of the stock centerstand arm. Once raised, the rear wheel is free to rotate for checking tire pressure or wheel removal. The Helping-Hand ($128) is carried on the bike so it’s always ready. A small anodized aluminum bracket (4.5 oz.) remains attached to the stock centerstand arm. When needed, raise the passenger floorboard exposing the bracket, slip the adjustable-length arm into the T-slot (no tools needed) and lift the bike by stepping on the footpad and lifting the grab bar. After use, the arm stows out of the way.
