Motorcyclists From Coast to Coast Ride for Kids with Brain Tumors

Motorcyclists hit the road in three different states to raise money for children battling brain tumors during Ride for Kids events on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. These family-friendly motorcycle events were held in Leeds, Alabama, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and Carnation, Washington, and raised more than $150,000 to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s research and family support programs.

The events honored 14 local brain tumor survivors.

“This is the best day of my year, every year!” Philadelphia Star Athea told motorcyclists. “Something in our lives has brought us all here today in this place to fight brain cancer and I think that’s really unique and special, and we’re all family, no matter what happens! It means a lot that you are here.”

The events are still collecting donations online at rideforkids.org.
