Edelweiss Bike Travel Launches New Israel Tour

Edelweiss Bike Travel and Tamar Mediterranean Mototours LTD. announced a cooperation in developing the middle east as a new motorcycling guided tour destination. Edelweiss Bike Travel has chosen Tamar as a new innovative high-end service provider to run its guided tours in Israel, which include nine days (six riding, one sightseeing) covering the main attractions and areas of Israel. The first tour of this kind will be held June 29-July 07, 2014. Tours will run on new Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200 bikes, and Kawasaki Versys 1000 and 650 motorcycles. Initially this tour will run in the Scouting category, but is expected to develop with demand to a regular classic class tour in the Edelweiss portfolio.

“We are very excited with the launch of our new destination in Israel,” says Rainer Buck, Managing Director of Edelweiss Bike Travel. “We have spotted Israel as a very important destination for our portfolio for quite a while, and are very happy to finally have found the right partner to bring this destination to life. Israel is a unique adventure insofar that it is off the continent and an exotic destination, yet it is small, and close enough to enable riders from both North America and Europe to ‘hop’ for a short trip less than 10 days, and at a fraction of the cost of a full-fledged adventure.”

“Tamar is pioneering the motorcycle guided tour scene in the Middle East,” says Eytan Magen, Managing Director of Tamar. “This is a huge step for us to partner with a world-class brand such as Edelweiss Bike Travel. We expect this partnership to accelerate, and shorten dramatically, the time it will take to put Israel on the world motorcycling guided tour map.”

Effectively, Edelweiss Bike Travel and Tamar expect Israel to be an attractive destination for both western European and North American adventure motorcycle tourists. Israel offers a unique new and exciting destination, known as an intense compressed accessible destination, with excellent and pampering hotels and roads, a multi-lingual population. Israel is home to some of the world’s heritage and most important and exciting highlights, and is also famous for its unique feature of having a multitude of landscapes and microclimates, all in a relatively small territory, enabling the rider to experience a multitude of landscapes and cultural experiences within a very short timeframe.

Prices for the nine-day Explore Israel tour range from $6,770-$9,190. For more information, visit edelweissbike.com/discover-israel.
