BMW Motorrad and Dainese recently announced that they will be working together to develop motorcycle safety clothing for BMW Motorrad that includes the Dainese D-Air Protect System with fully integrated inflatable protectors.
The first product, the DoubleR RaceAir one-piece leather suit with D-Air racing protectors, is being designed exclusively for use on the track. It is scheduled to be presented at the international EICMA motorcycle show in Milan this November, once BMW Motorrad has completed all the required testing in Munich.
A Dainese D-Air Street System will follow in 2015 as a retrofit solution for BMW Motorrad. BMW Motorrad customers will then be able to retrofit this safety system to their motorcycles and apparel.
BMW Motorrad has developed a complete range of rider equipment ever since the 1970s—from motorcycle helmets to rider suits, boots, gloves and the Neck Brace System, which was introduced in 2007.
