The one's I priced are about $700 for my bike. I have $1200 true duals on it now. Where can you get a set of pipes, headers and all for $6-800?

..I've been pricing 2 into 1 pipes only, Payloader...I've seen them from $400 all the way up to $850.....some come with heat shields...some are extra....
I've shopped online and I have several catalogs...
I's hard to tell what's what....some are triple coated chrome...some are blue proof.....some have interchangeable baffles...others don't, etc..etc...it's hard to tell what you're getting...off course buying from a catalog or by internet...means you don't get to see the actual product...
and off course....you can't hear what they sound like either...
We have a big Thursday night bike night thing going on in my 'hood....I think I'm gonna stalk the 100 odd bikes there and ask some questions....

Howsit, are any of them custom made to your particular bike?

hey Pay...no.....I don't think they are custom made..it's basically exhausts from say model year 1998-2006 for FLSTC or something along those lines....one size fits all kind of thing......

When I talked to the guy, he wanted to know displacement, model, horsepower ect. He makes the header pipe a specific length based on your engine. Mostly just wants to know displacement and what size diameter pipes you want.

Payloader..my bike is an '04 Heritage that's been punched out to 95".
It has a Mikuni HR42 carb, high compression pistons and a SE255 cam.
It has been dynoed at around 100 hp and 100 ft'lbs torque.
I believe my headers are 1 3/4 "....
my current exhaust is a SE 2 into 1 system...you don't see many around....the headers end at a megaphone type collecter, which is probably 6" dia. at then end.
The bike runs great....just sounds like crap.....I can't decide whether it's the high compression pistons...or the exhaust system....the sound is a very sharp bark with each detonation.....it's very load...and when I wind it up.....it gets REALLY LOUD.
I can't tell whether the pipes have been messed with....when I look down the back end of the collector, I can see some type of baffle....
The previous owner was a H-D manager, I'm told that this bike underwent a lot of mods to get it to run where it runs today. It runs great, massive torque and good top end...just sounds like crap...
I'd like a similar setup , cuz I like the look of a 2 into 1.....plus it's the best pipes for performance....

Dude, I'm freaking out here. RB Racing pipes are the BEST pipe out there, hands down, you want a 2 into 1, but you said they're not "pretty enough" for you?
These pipes aren't pretty enough? Seriously?
Example 1
Example 2
Best performance, awesome sound, great looks...what are you waiting for?!

Greenman,
If they would make those pipes without that weird looking down-turn at the end of the collector...I'd be sold....why can't they end the collector in a straight line...y'know...and open-ended hole facing straight out the bike....???
I gotta go talk to those styling folks at RB Racing....funcionality can be mixed with creativity !!

I think they can. Call 'em and ask 'em. I know you can get the turn out, turn down, or 3/4 turn.
