Early Arrival 2018 Ducati Models Landing at U.S. Dealers

Ducati North America has announced that a handful of early 2018 models are starting to hit U.S. dealers, with more expected through the end of the year. This includes the Multistrada 1200 Enduro Pro, XDiavel S in Iceberg White, 1299 Panigale R Final Edition, Multistrada 950 Touring, two new Scrambler options and the Monster 797+, which replaces the current Monster 797.

2018 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro Pro (MSRP $23,295)
The Multistrada 1200 Enduro Pro is a towering, knobby-tired, desert scrub-colored exclamation of off-road prowess. Possessing more acronyms than your nearest military base (which correspond to a slew of electronic aids meant to tame the beast…or at least make it rideable for mere mortals), the Enduro Pro is outfitted with Touratech crash protection, auxiliary lights, a Termignoni muffler and Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires. You can read our First Ride Review of the Multistrada 1200 Enduro here, then go check out the Pro version in person. A limited number are shipping to U.S. dealers right now.

2018 Ducati XDiavel S in Iceberg White (MSRP $23,495)
Ducati’s XDiavel S power cruiser returns for 2018, with a new Iceberg White color option (available on the S model only). Like all 2018 XDiavels, it will also come with a revised suspension setup and new handlebars for “improved comfort and more relaxed ergonomics.” Since that was one of our few gripes when we first tested the XDiavel in 2016 (read the review here), we’re anxious to see what the changes have done for the XDiavel’s rideability. The 2018 XDiavel in Iceberg White will be available in early October.

The 803cc Desmodue air-cooled L-twin powered Monster 797 is being replaced for 2018 with the Monster 797+, which is essentially the same bike with a headlight fairing and pillion seat cover added on at no additional cost. You can read more about the Monster 797 here.

The Multistrada 950 Touring package is now available as a factory option, simplifying the purchase for those customers looking for a ready-to-tour Multistrada 950. The Touring model joins the standard Multistrada 950 (read our First Ride Review here) and includes color matched locking side cases and a center stand. The standard model is available in dealers now, with the Touring shipping in December.

2018 Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition (MSRP $39,900)
We’ll let you read all about the penultimate Panigale here (although we’re betting that if you’re in the market for this machine, you likely know all about it by now). This tribute to Ducati’s twin-cylinder World Superbike legacy claims to be the most powerful production twin-cylinder motorcycle in history, with a claimed 209 horsepower, harnessed to “the most advanced aluminum monocoque chassis.” Want to add one to your collection? The Panigale 1299 R Final Edition is shipping to U.S. dealers in limited quantities now.

2018 Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 (MSRP $10,795) and Full Throttle ($10,695)
The Scrambler Mach 2.0 was created in collaboration with Roland Sands, and its design echoes the SoCal atmosphere of the 1970s, with its distinctive color scheme, larger gas tank, low handlebars and flat-track inspired seat. The Scrambler Full Throttle gets a few subtle changes for 2018, with a new Shining Black steel tank with satin aluminum side panels and a new checkerboard logo. Both models will arrive in dealerships in October. You can read our First Ride Review of the Scrambler Cafe Racer here.
