2017 Honda X-ADV to Debut in November – Video

Honda has confirmed that it will introduce the first of a “new breed” of motorcycle for 2017 called the X-ADV. Based on the City Adventure concept scooter that was unveiled at the Italian EICMA show in the fall of 2015, the X-ADV seems to be larger and more fully equipped, like an adventure scooter on steroids. Honda has confirmed features like an upright riding position for high visibility, hand guards, long travel suspension to handle rough road surfaces, a 5-stage adjustable windscreen and storage space for an off-road style helmet, we presume under the seat in scooter fashion. It will also come standard with Honda’s automatic Dual Clutch Transmission, a big hint that it may get the NC700X or NC750X parallel twin-cylinder engine. The bike also appears to have scooteresque floorboards, a centerstand and cross-spoke style wheels with tubeless tires. The public reveal is set for EICMA in November 2016; no word if the bike will eventually come to the U.S.

As fans of maxi scooters, we think it would be a hoot to get one capable of commuting and making milk runs during the week and then making adventurous escapes on the weekends, both on- and off-pavement.
