New Website Offers Downloadable New York Route Maps, Trip Options and Event Info

The Adirondack and 1000 Islands Regions in New York recently launched a new motorcycling touring website www.gotourny.com featuring bilingual suggested trip routes and travel information in both English and French. The website features 25 routes and scenic byways that connect the Adirondack Mountains to the shores of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway. Curated routes travel through  towns and villages, providing motorcyclists with easy access to amenities, including gas stations, restaurants, lodging, and attractions in both regions.

Each route is outlined and described on the website, and features a corresponding Tank Map, which is available for motorcyclists to download and print for free.

The Adirondack Routes featured on www.gotourny.com connect to several New York State Scenic Byways, travel through the interior of the Adirondack Park, around lakes and along historic rivers.

Head to Lake George June 1 for the annual Americade Motorcycle Touring Rally, the world’s largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally spanning five days and featuring a massive trade show with vendors, demonstrations and displays, as well as chartered boat cruises, rodeos, stunt shows and guided tours of the Adirondacks.

Located within minutes of the Ontario Border, the 1000 Islands Routes are ideal for day trips or weekend rides, connecting to the Adirondack Region’s routes, and providing miles of stunning views and smooth roadways.

The 1000 Islands Region hosts several motorcycle events throughout the summer and fall, including the Thousand Islands River Run Motorcycle Rally, scheduled for June 19-21, 2015. Motorcyclists will find vendors, classic car and custom motorcycle shows, live music and poker runs.

Find motorcycle rally events, comprehensive route descriptions and free tank maps at www.gotourny.com.

This project is supported by a grant awarded to the Adirondack Regional Tourism Council and 1000 Islands Region by New York State’s Empire State Development and the I Love NY Division of Tourism under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Regional Economic Development Council Initiative.
